We believe a truly educated person knows Christ as Savior and Lord and is led by the Holy Spirit in the process of learning. He has developed a well-rounded, Christ-centered view of himself and the world around him. A properly educated person also has developed the knowledge and skills that enable him to successfully minister to others and carry on a vocation. He believes that continual spiritual, social, mental, and physical development is part of living. A truly educated person's chief aim in life is to glorify God.

Capitol Christian Academy opened its doors in September of 1961. The school was located on Alabama Avenue and began with 67 students in grades 1 through 6. The school developed in numbers and gradually added grades until there were 223 students in 1969-70 when the first high school seniors graduated. In 1973 a major milestone was reached when the operation was moved to its present location at 610 Largo Road. We currently have 150 students in grades K4 through 12. In 2008, Capitol Christian Academy came under the authority of Capitol Baptist Church of Lothian, MD. CCA is "back home" as a ministry of Capitol Baptist Church where in originated in 1961. God is good!

Our mission is to train young people to walk with God and to live in the world. We feel that the single most important decision in life is to accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior and to embark on the pathway of Godly living. This goal is presented to the students consistently and in a variety of ways. At the same time, those of us called Christians should set the highest standards of excellence in all pursuits, including education. Our school is designed to fulfill the need for the very best in education for today's world.
